Media I’m excited to experience in 2026
I am an avid enjoyer of many forms of media; music, movies, shows, video games, etc. Here’s some of what I’m most eager for. Whether to actually see it or just hear more news.
Resident Evil Requiem 🧟
Shhh I’ve never actually played a resident evil game. This one just really caught my eye. So much so that I watched play throughs of RE4 and RE8. I also bought 2 and 8 but never opened them. I can’t wait to play, though, on my Switch 2.
MacOS 27 🍎
Hate Apple all you want but I love them. Their software and hardware is top notch. I’m really excited to see what they do with MacOS this year. Apparently they’re planning on giving Siri a face! I think that’d be really cute. Also I’d appreciate them refining liquid glass.
Lana Del Rey’s new album 🎵
My music taste has evolved alot since I started listening to her. Come to think of it, I don’t remember the last time I added her to a playlist. Nonetheless, I’m excited to see where she goes with this album. There’s rumors it comes out this [January 30] Friday.
The Legend of Zelda Movie 🎬
I’m not sure if I’m more excited or worried. I’m sorry but Link’s actor just does not match my vision. Also I don’t like the director. We’ll see.
White Lotus season 4 🌸
I loved all 3 seaons of White Lotus. I think 2 is my favorite, followed by 3, and then 1. I’m not sure why I like it so much, but its really interesting.
All the media I have no idea about ❓
Something fun about being a kid is that I’m still discovering what I like. I like to imagine I’m riding an exponential curve on media discovery. I find stuff I like so often now. Last year I discovered so much media that made me feel like me. To summarize, 2025 was my shift to happy music. I’ve been bopping my head to latin and borderlne club music. Anyway, the fact I found so much media in 2025 makes me excited about 2026. What media will I find? How much will I change? What will I discover about myself?
GTA 6 🚗
I respect Rockstar and find their games so beautiful. GTA isn’t my type of game but I might just play it to admire the graphics. I loved RDR2, so maybe I’ll like this?!

The AI companies 🧠
I enjoy following open source Chinese models, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. It’s so dramtic and fun to watch. I think we’re at the point where the models are starting to plateua. Now is the exciting part, what will they do with the psuedo intelligence? What tools can you give them?
New Ghibli movie? 🍃
The Boy and the Heron was a masterpiece. That and The Wind Rises are some of my favorite movies ever. I really hope we hear more about a movie this year. God Bless Miyazaki, I wish he was immortal.
